This horse drawing was inspired by the expression of the equine; curious, calmly alert, and relaxed. One of the main reasons horses are trainable is their innate curiosity. They are prey animals and are acutely more aware of what goes on in their environment than us humans. What to us seems completely harmless, to the horse might be danger. They are flight first ask questions later creatures, and if we keep that in mind in our interaction with horses, great communication and understanding can be found between horses and their humans without any need to resort to violent reprimands. Horses are truth tellers and seekers.
